Members of the Deafblind Association of Slovenia, DLAN, visited the United Buddy Bears exhibition, “Art of Tolerance.” This exhibition features sculptures of two-meter-high bears, each holding up its hands to spread optimism and friendship between the countries they represent. The 145 painted bears symbolize the unique characteristics, culture, history, people, landscapes, economy, music, or customs of their respective countries. Through touching and detailed descriptions of the paintings, we had the opportunity to learn about the different participating countries, their particularities, and thereby broaden our knowledge.
