On Thursday, on 16th of March, at the Deafblind Association of Slovenia DLAN we listened to travel lecture about India given by student Ajda Mikec.
She presented us with interesting facts about India and told us about her experience of volunteering in a local school and in a centre for girls with special needs.
She told us about the daily life in India, the sacred cows, the food, the traffic and showed us interesting photos, that she took while travelling. We have also learned about the situation that people with special needs live in, and how important education is, especially in the poorest parts of the country.
Members listened to her with interest and asked many questions about the things they were interested in.
We would sincerely like to thank Ajda and look forward to having her share stories with us in the future.
