In The Deafblind Association of Slovenia DLAN in addition to printed book editions, a lot of attention is also paid to special adapted editions that are accessible to people with deafblindness. So again, we are pleased to announce that two books were published in Braille in early November: The stories of people who listen with the heart and see with the palms: Living with Deafblindness and A Haptic Way of Communication with People with Deafblindness I.
The books are available in the reading room of the Associaton DLAN (Trebinjska ulica 7, Ljubljana), where a magnifying glass and computer for listening to audio books are also available.
Thanks to the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Slovenia, which is the co-financier of the project, and the Library of the Blind and Visually Impaired of Minka Skaberne for the transcript into Braille.
The books are also read with pleasure by Timotej Skledar, who is included in the Assocation DLAN in the on-the-job training program as part of the URI Soča vocational rehabilitation.
