September 6 was a special day for the Deafblind Association of Slovenia DLAN, as we were joined by a team of Decathlon employees, who prepared interesting sports workshops for people with deafblindness as part of the Foundation Day Decathlon Ljubljana 2021. With the guidance and help of employees and volunteers, they got to know and try out various sports equipment that the Decathlon Foundation kindly donated to DLAN Association in order to encourage people with combined visual and hearing impairment to have an active and healthy lifestyle.
DECATHLON is a French chain of sports shops that offer sports equipment for more than 70 different sports and equipment for leisure activities such as camping. In Slovenia Decathlon stores can be found in Maribor, Ljubljana and Celje. The Decathlon Foundation was founded in 2005. Its core mission is to actively support the most vulnerable groups of people around the world and to promote their social inclusion and health care through sport.
