On monday, 3 of october 2022, the consultation was held in the national assembly, with representatives of non-governmental organizations, working with children with special needs and children living in poverty and violence.
The event was also attended by Dr. Simona Gerenčer, secretary and co-founder of The Deafblind Association of Slovenia DLAN.
In her speech, she focused on the challenges faced by children with deafblindness and their relatives, and especially on the solutions that are also included in the bill on the regulation of the status and rights of people with deafblindness, which was presented in the national council last week.
