The traditional charity event “Spring Sparks on the Wings of Evergreen Melodies 2023” was held at the Ljubljana Castle, organized by the Society for Help in the Third Life Stage. The purpose of the event was to raise public awareness of the importance of intergenerational solidarity and the acceptance of cultural heritage as an important factor in the quality of life of the elderly in society. This year, the Deafblind Association of Slovenia DLAN received the invitation to partake in this event, adding a unique and significant dimension to the event. Our poignant performance of the song, “Don’t Give Up and Forge Ahead,” served as an enriching contribution, ensuring the dissemination of awareness regarding the experiences and challenges faced by individuals affected by deafblindness.
