Between September 8 and 10, 2022, the members of The Deafblind Association of Slovenia DLAN, employees and volunteers went on a three-day spiritual days to the Sveta Gora.
Father Bogdan Knavs, who traditionally offers holy mass for the deafblind once a month at The Deafblind Association of Slovenia DLAN, welcomed us very nicely and warmly and accompanied us spiritually during these days.
In the time we had at our disposal, we had the opportunity to devote ourselves to prayer, as well as to relax and socialize with each other, according to our own wishes and judgment. We held various workshops, visited the sanctuary of Sveta Gora and the Franciscan monastery, listened to interesting lectures entitled “Optimistic people age more gracefully” and on the topic of forgiveness, played board games, went for a walk and took care of daily recreation. Anyone who wanted had the opportunity for holy confession. We also had a great opportunity to rest and have a relaxed conversation with Father Bogdan and with each other. At the end, we visited some of the sights of Ajdovščina, the old town center and the Castro fortress.
In the natural environment, we had the opportunity to deepen our mutual relations, to get to know each other even better and to take time for each other in peace, for which we are very grateful.
