June is the month when people with deafblindness, their relatives and supporters around the world commemorate Helen Keller, the renowned American deafblind writer, activist and lecturer. The purpose of Helen Keller Week, which this year runs from June 24 to 30, is to raise public awareness of deafblindness and highlight the contributions of people with deafblindness.
On this occasion, we have prepared an exhibition where you can admire a wide variety of works by people with deafblindness. Artists with deafblindness use various tactile techniques to express themselves. Each of their products is unique and a sign of their personal experience, emotions and experiences.
Many thanks to everyone for their participation, especially mag. Alenka Žagar, representative of the City of Ljubljana and the City of Ljubljana for the premises, banquet and support.
You can view the exhibition until the end of July at Info point 65+ at Mačkova ulica 1 in Ljubljana.
You are kindly invited.
