The Deafblind Association of Slovenia DLAN organised the first Deafblind Bazaar. We invited members from the Association for the Culture of Inclusion and users from the Varstveno delovni center Želva.
Visitors had the opportunity to admire and take away products created by people with deafblindness. The latter was an opportunity to support and encourage further creativity. In addition, the meeting aimed to socialise and make new friends. We shared many experiences, had relaxed conversations, played board games, and enjoyed delicious pancakes.
This kind of gathering is of great importance for all users, as it strengthens relationships and promotes solidarity and understanding between different groups of people. They also help to reduce stigma and open up new opportunities to widen social networks and cooperation. Working together, we can create a more inclusive and respectful society where diversity is respected and where there is room for everyone.
